The CBPG girls totally left us a comment saying they appreciate our crushing on them even through their reluctance to shower! You know what the Fan Club says to that?!?! Showering is bad for the environment anyway! We’re so over showers. Go girlzzz!!!!

The Fan Club has had a bit of a hiatus in posting due to various personal circumstances, but the team somehow managed to make it to Turkey anyway. We realized that their blog posts were slowing down even as their Twitter feed ramped up, and we were relieved today when their blog post revealed to us that they’ve been blogging on Outside Magazine a lot. We didn’t know!! So we made a list of links to their Outside Magazine blog posts in the 3rd sidebar. There’s no obvious way to automate it though, so you’ll have to wait for us to post links by hand.

In team news, the girls and the boys split up in the secular Turkish country. We just learned that Andrew is the only team member with a car in real life!! Who knew?!! Now everyone!!!!!! The team is so awesome. Cars are bad for the environment too. Unless you’re in Mongolia! Then any environmental damage is offset by the humanitarian aide a car provides. Go team!!!!!

We just had our first posting from someone who actually SAW the CBPG on route! Steffen from Europe saw their car and found our website on “gegoogelt” which is like the European Google! Here is what he said (translated by Google!!):

You are driven past me! Madness! I wondered what I make, have your logo and photographed gegoogelt … and now I’m official FAN CLUB member! That’s awesome!

In the placeholder screen on the CBPG blog for that last video, I really feel like Andrew is just staring at me. So, hi Andrew!!

The news from the blog: everybody is in Europe! Actually, after announcing that, they all went to England! (And not Wales.) Hooray! But, as far as we know, they are yet to be united in Oxford. Will Andrew make it??? Will Anand stop working an join the team sometime soon?

The fan club wants to hear from the other team members too! I mean, we love Andrew, but…. he just keeps staring out from that picture. Heelllloooooooo….

By the way… the launch is tomorrow! The 18th!

As for the love poll, the balance already seems to be tipping towards Andrew and Cammie. He’s already met her family!?! And swam in the pool!!?? That probably constitutes marriage in Ulaanbaatar.

We at the CBPG Fan Club have uncovered some exciting inside info from the Word of the Day on the Team Blog: Sarah is going to London on a plane soon! That means that Andrew will be in France and Sarah will be in London. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if they ever manage to reach each other, what with all the car registration issues mentioned in our previous post. But we think they can probably do it! Will Sarah take a train to France? Maybe a ferry? Or will she just hang out and wait for Andrew to get the car to London? And where are the other two team members?!?!?!?!

Hi CBPGFC followers!

We expected an update today on CBPG‘s progress with registering the Skoda, but so far no news. You know what they say about no news being good news though, right? We’re hoping that the team registerer is just chatting up the nice government workers right now, getting them to allow the car to be driven in France, and then out of France to England, and then back to France again on the way to MONGOLIA! We’ll keep you all updated with any information we recieve.

While we’re at it, we thought we’d ask a question that many of our members have been asking: do you think the members of CBPG are single, dating, or interested in dating? Take our poll and let us know!

The folks at CBPG have a route map up for those of you who want to follow along, or if you want to meet them along the way. As of right now, they last updated it on June 30, 2009, but I bet their plans will change along the way! It’s being hosted on Google’s mapsite, which is cool, because everyone can see it.

Andrew in “The Joys and Sorrows of Skoda”

Hey everyone!

We just watched Andrew in the “The Joys and Sorrows of Skoda” video (nice use of media on that one too!), and we think we figured out what seems to be a well-kept secret: Andrew is a CANADIAN!!

We were pretty sure we could hear it in his voice, although one of our members said it could just be that he’s getting a FRENCH accent instead (Maybe! He must be good with languages then!). But we think that if you listen to him say “ago” or “gas station” or “so” or “here we go” you’ll maybe agree that he’s a sure Canadian.

Just to check, we did a Bing search for “Andrew Cole Canada” and got over 2,130,000 results right off the bat. It looks like there might be two of them though. One in Toronto and one in Ontario. We only got 145,000 for “Andrew Cole ‘United States of America’”.

New logo created!

Hello readers,

We have recently created a new logo, styled after the logo used by the CBPG team. It looks like this:

We aren’t sure which team member made the original, but there has been a lot of discussion about it on the forums and at our most recent meeting. Jessie is a photographer, so she seems like the obvious choice, but Andrew seems to have a lot of skills on the computer too. We eventually decided that we really don’t know! Who do YOU think is the logo-master in the group?
